Notable Quotes

"The evil of zero-sum thinking and redistributive politics has nothing to do with which things are taken or to whom those things are given or what the sum of zero things is supposed to be. The evil lies in denying people the right, the means, and, indeed, the duty to make more things."

  1. This is the last few paragraphs from a great sidebar by American thinker.
    "keeping sight of the cliff"
A good read and a nice summation :
The ideal solution is for Obama, the Democrats and Republicans to sit down and work out massive spending cuts and a real budget. This will never happen. Ludicrous spending, confiscatory taxes, inflation, and printing money have long been promoted by communists as ways to collapse a free society into a communist society. Obama will do everything he can to go over the cliff.

The Republicans need to force two very difficult course corrections. The first is to make sure that everyone feels the folly of Obama. Republicans must avoid the temptation to cut taxes for the poor and middle class while taxing the investing class. It makes little sense to grow demand while crushing supply. That leads to inflation. It will be best for everyone if taxes move uniformly. The second is to play serious hardball with the debt ceiling.

Expect Obama and his propagandists to throw a tantrum. Government shutdowns may be in order, but Obama cannot spend it if Congress does not grant it, and we are very close to that cliff.

    1. Just a thought.
I am tired of the games being played within our legislative body politic, but if you are going to play games play them well.

For instance the House could pass a bill that cuts taxes for the middle class and leaves the tax rate the same for the wealthy.Within that bill they could reduce spending to pre Obama Bush Stimulus.

When the Demoncrats refuse to bring it up for a vote the Republicans can say that the Demoncrats are against tax cuts for the middle class.
Tax cuts that were paid for if you want to use illogical Left Speak.

    3. I just Emailed Speaker Bonner. And yes I spelled his name correctly within the Email. I have always sent hand written letters and have never heard back.
Lets see how this new fangled communication works out!

I would ask all that are reading this to do the same.
      Its not that difficult.
      Be polite,be precise.
      Why not?

    4. And I did give him advice. ie what I would like to see him do.
And yes I informed him that I would be contacting my reps as to how to vote in ref to his upcoming vote of confidence. As of now it was a no vote. But the next few days could change that recommendation from a voter that helped put him in his leadership(majority) position.
