Part One of.......
"To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven"
I for one strongly believe in the natural way. What is the natural way? simply put, it is that life, in fact the entire Universe, is set up in such a way that ultimately everything reverts back to a pattern dictated by the laws of God or the law of nature if you are so inclined. In other words anything and everything that seems to be out of the norm, is in fact out of the norm and will ultimately through forces dictated by the "the natural way" return to the norm.
A brief example, sure to fire up some is my totally serious assertion that ultimately the "Pro-Choice Movement" will abort themselves out of existence. The idea that life is not sacred will ultimately loose out to the idea that life is sacred. Simply because those who do not see this natural truth will commit ideological and indeed physical suicide while those who see this truth will have children and teach their children well. "The natural way" always wins despite any temporary perceived advantages the "unnatural forces" may seem to hold.
Another related example on the societal battlefront has to do with the decline of the "family unit" in modern society. It is obvious to any objective viewer that "the family" as the bedrock upon which society is built has taken some serious backward steps over the past century or so. However the family is the natural way and as it's value and importance in society is diminished, so too does society itself decline. Some may think that I am referring to moral degradation but that is just a small part of the big picture. The decline of the family as the focal point of human existence eventually leads to a structural weakness throughout society which either must be repaired or the society itself will collapse.
What happens when societies collapse? Chaos, then rebuilding. How do collapsed societies rebuild? From the bottom up, families become the foundation of peoples existence again because as they say "blood is thicker than water". As the family becomes the foundation upon which societies are built the society begins to develop a stronger cohesion, it is the natural way. The collapse of the family will always lead back to the strengthening of the family and society.
‘In him we live and move and have our being,’
The wonderful thing about the natural way is that it is everywhere and everything. There is nothing that is not dictated by the "the natural way". In fact there truly is no chaos, chaos is just "the natural way" of returning back to the natural way.
The thirteenth century explorers claimed that they had found the "New World", the truth was that they had found nothing "new" whatsoever. Their discovery created nothing that did not already exist, the lands they discovered were not new at all, except to them. Thus it is with all human knowledge, it is not a process of creation but of discovery. We do not create new laws of science, we discover an explanation for why; what is....is. Newton did not create gravity he merely explained it. The law of gravity like all laws that dictate the workings of the universe preexist our discovery of them and they do not change, only our explanation and understanding of them changes. As the wise man said, The natural way is without "variableness, neither shadow of turning."
Some believe that the natural way is always changing, evolving. While in some sense this is true, it is not however the evolution from chaos to order but rather the evolving process written into the fabric of creation by the laws of God or the laws of nature if you wish. It is interesting that science readily accepts that within the miraculous DNA are genetic codes which predetermine a host of characteristics, future behaviors, even so called vices, yet many of these same enlightened scientist are at the forefront of denial that such codes are written into the very fabric of creation. This denial is stupefying given that all of science is nothing more than an attempt to decipher the codes written with giant bold letters across the pages of our very existence. They choose to explain the perfection of creation as the evolution from a blob of unknown origin or content into all that we see, feel, smell and touch.
Consider that faith for a moment. From chaos sprung the intricate beauty of a butterfly. Even more astounding is this belief that from chaotic blob millions of neurons were created which stream through the infinite complexity of the human body reaching a point within the very core of the mysterious human brain allowing us to be awed by the beauty of that same butterfly.
From chaos we are told, evolved an Earth with it's perfectly attuned atmosphere capable of developing a life form with the ability to question every aspect of the universe it inhabits and the mind to explore it. A tear, a smile, a laugh all we are told by the lost among us are the product of chaos which has magically created the order necessary for the human animal to experience emotions. Chaos has created perfect order which scientist marvel over at each new thrilling discovery
Just happenstance on a galactic scale working in perfect harmony all by chance, What an amazing faith it must take to believe in such a creative paradox. Chaos the Creator - of perfect order.
To normal people the natural way seems so obvious and simple as to be not worth mentioning. But many people are not led by "the natural way" and thus are not normal. They in fact are outside the norm and therefore living in chaos which as we have pointed out is the natural way of returning to the natural way.
Of course we all live outside the natural way to some degree because we are not all knowing, but the truly lost are those who do not accept that there is in fact a natural way at all. They do not believe that there are laws that determine everything. Rather they have looked at the absolute perfection that is the Universe and concluded that it is the result of chaos creating order.
However such lost individuals are merely lost and ultimately will be led to the wondrous discovery of the natural way. The less fortunate are those who claim to know the natural way but do not believe that there are laws that determine everything and have surmised that it is they who write the laws and determine the order of the natural way, but they do not-
For as in Adam all men die so in Christ shall all men be made alive, but each in his own order.
But that is for another day.
