“YOU LIE !”
When I was young I burned inside with every perceived injustice I observed. The world was cruel and unfair and any causes that recognized this and condemned it were my friend. The system, the establishment was the enemy and it was obvious that it needed to be torn down and made right. It wasn’t until later, as I grew older; that I came to see that many of these causes were just fronts for a different system and establishment whose motives were no more pure than the one I once railed against. The difference being that those that sought to “speak truth to power” was more often than not the more deceitful of the two sides. They believed in the ends not the means and only with age did I realize that the journey is life and the destination really is not so important, it’s how you get there that counts. How you get there is who you are.

The Senate and Congress are in the process of trying to pass historic health care legislation. It is not the main concern of most Americans. Massive budget deficits are the over riding concern of most Americans therefore trying to pass Health Care legislation must appear to address this concern. President Obama who is a big believer in Alinsky Rules, repeatedly asserts that the legislation must not add to the deficit and put some arbitrarily mythical number, 900 billion over ten years, out there as a goal to stay under.
Although this is a meaningless number it gives his allies a figure, which they can build a narrative around. If they cannot reach the meaningless goals they can simply manipulate through accounting gimmickry a way to both stay under the meaningless number and stay budget neutral.
This they have done by hiding monies that should be in the bill, the so called doctor fix, by front loading the taxes without benefits over the first few years of the process, by proposing cuts in Medicare they never intend to make, by claiming they will find savings and eliminate fraud to save money and countless other shenanigans that everyone know are not realistic. They then proudly proclaim that this distortion of reality is serving the American people by insuring more people at a lower cost and with better service for all-ALL HAIL THE SAVIORS!
Of course it is all nonsense it is all a lie. The truth is that the primary purpose is not a better health care system for America, it is greater control of the American population by the government. Some may honestly believe that this will improve the system and perhaps there is a way to do this with greater government control, but if so why do they need to deceive to achieve their stated goal?
This past week a hacker released e-mails and data from the Hadley Center in the United Kingdom. I will excerpt Charles Martin’s excellent article to summarize the findings thus far;
The emails suggest the authors co-operated covertly to ensure that only papers favorable to CO2-forced AGW were published, and that editors and journals publishing contrary papers were punished. They also attempted to “discipline” scientists and journalists who published skeptical information....
The emails suggest that the authors manipulated and “massaged” the data to strengthen the case in favor of unprecedented CO2-forced AGW, and to suppress their own data if it called AGW into question.....
The emails suggest that the authors co-operated (perhaps the word is “conspired”) to prevent data from being made available to other researchers through either data archiving requests or through the Freedom of Information Acts of both the U.S. and the UK....
The scientific community has through intimidation, distortion of data and other unsavory methods forced an agenda on the world’s population for political and ideological reasons. Many of these scientist have the same ideological goals as the politicians in Washington do regarding the health care system, they want to control populations. They do not trust the evolution of mankind to find it’s natural equilibrium, only they know what is best.
The common denominator in both these recent examples is the seeming ease with which this class of individuals is willing to use any means to achieve their goals. At all levels of government, academia, and the media it is now widely accepted that distortion of facts, manipulation of data and out and out lying is an acceptable practice to achieve goals.
This is not about honest mistakes or the spinning of truth, which is common; this is about lying being an accepted tool by powerful individuals and institutions to achieve their goals.
The vast financial debt we are leaving future generations is almost inconsequential compared to the greatest debt we are leaving future generations; we are institutionalizing lies as an acceptable pathway to power and success.
The true generational theft is truth itself.
