More States "Competitive" in Terms of Party Identification

Remember all the media talk about the Republican Party being a regional party ? It was a major talking point that Republicans were just a party of the south (meaning racist). Even with tremendous gains for the Republicans since Obama's election, only two southern states are considered leaning Republican.  Republicans, if anything, are the party of the Mountain West and Great Plains. In fact if you go to the story you can check out  the individual states and some southern states have more Democrats than Republicans including Florida , North Carolina and Louisiana! Another example of the media's and the left's (I know the same thing) narrative not matching the reality of that allusive commodity called facts.
